Our Mission

Our Mission

Hugs for Brady Foundation is dedicated to helping children with pediatric cancer. Our moral compass is directed to support children with cancer in any and every way possible.

From buying custom built wagons, computers, TVs, video games, to help in the funding of financing a pediatric/hematology fellowship program; every dollar donated is spent in the pursuit to make the lives of children with cancer better. Our non-profit organization serves people of all races, creeds, and religions. We do not discriminate. We merely support all causes concerning pediatric cancer.

Our ultimate goal is to eradicate pediatric cancer. We will not rest until pediatric cancers of all types are a forgotten nightmare.

Our volunteer base is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more, and have a larger impact upon our community. We welcome new volunteers with open arms. Please inquire today about how you can become a cherished part of the Hugs for Brady Foundation.

The Hugs for Brady Fundation was established to help the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital (BMSCH) fight the ongoing battle against pediatric cancer.

Our immediate goals is to fund a much needed Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program at BMSCH.

According to Dr. Richard Drachtman, the unit's Medical Director and Brady’s primary doctor, the hospital is in desperate need of funding to establish this fellowship program. The cost for this is $100,000 per year for a minimum of three years. Without a strong fellowship program finding a cure is seriously hampered.

No child is turned away; no matter what their financial status may be or if they do not have health insurance. According to our calculations, it costs about $10,000 day to be a patient on the pediatric oncology floor. Funding this Fellowship program will have an immediate and positive impact on the quality of care at BMSCH.

The Hugs for Brady Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation. All donations are 100% tax deductible (Tax id# 27-3921673). 90+% of every dollar donated goes directly into the fund, with virtually no administrative fees! Hugs for Brady Foundation is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff.
