by Michael Wells I got home late last night (around 8:00 pm) to find my “normal” happy baby sitting in his Mommy lap having a bottle. It is just amazing how incredible the little things in life have taken on such significant importance to us. Brady is home and it is just an out of this world feeling. He’s doing quite well and I must say Sherrie and I are really enjoying this. After his evening snack Brady was re-energized with my presence and decided to stay up until almost midnight. When he finally went to sleep it was with me on the couch and the rascal is still sleeping. One quick medical update; Dr. Drachtman spoke with Sherrie and while we still do not have the pathology report on Brady’s bone marrow he did tell us the “flow” report showed no cancer in Brady’s spinal cord. This is just outstanding and a very good indicator we have the demon on the run. Speaking of running; I must get going – off to NYC for a few meetings and an ASIS luncheon. Until next time; your prayers, hugs and good thoughts are miraculous in their power – please continue them…“8 Years Later—Still No Cure for Pediatric Cancer” is a series of posts revisiting the journal kept by Sherrie and Michael Wells during the cancer diagnosis and treatment of their son, Brady Michael. Hopefully these entires will provide an understanding of the journey families face when dealing with these horrific diseases and of the important work the Hugs for Brady Foundation does.
