by Michael Wells Brady’s day at the clinic was totally uneventfully – “Thank God.” His complete blood count (CBC) had normal results and there was no need for any transfusions of platelets or whole blood. In fact, he was sleeping when Dr. Drachtman got to his room to examine him and Sherrie and the good doctor chatted about fundraising as Brady remained peacefully sleeping. So, it’s on to Thursday’s CAT scan and hopefully by Friday we will have the details of when we will be headed to Philadelphia. I am going to make this entry a short one as I have to get some things accomplished for work so until next time; please continue your prayers, hugs and good thoughts they are working wonders!“8 Years Later—Still No Cure for Pediatric Cancer” is a series of posts revisiting the journal kept by Sherrie and Michael Wells during the cancer diagnosis and treatment of their son, Brady Michael. Hopefully these entires will provide an understanding of the journey families face when dealing with these horrific diseases and of the important work the Hugs for Brady Foundation does.
