Goddard School Students Decorate Pumpkins, Raise Money for Kids with Cancer
The North Brunswick Goddard School held a pumpkin decorating contest the week before Halloween…
Each classroom of teachers and children decorated one pumpkin which was then put on display in their front lobby. The beautifully and creatively decorated pumpkins were simply labeled with the letters ‘A’ through ‘I’ and a matching collection container was placed in front of each pumpkin. Parents and families were encouraged to empty their cars and wallets of loose change and deposit their “monetary” vote for their favorite pumpkin, and in so doing, support the Hugs for Brady Foundation. We are so pleased to announce that they collected $150.55 worth of votes during this 1st ever Goddard Pumpkin Contest! In addition, Lisa and Bruce Goodarz, the North Brunswick Goddard School Site Owners would like to add another $150.00 and double the total donation to the Hugs for Brady Foundation to $300.00!We would like to say a BIG thank you to these students, the parents and staff, and to Bruce and Lisa for their generosity, not only with their monetary donations, but also for spreading awareness of pediatric cancer. It’s because of great people like you that the Hugs for Brady Foundation is able to make an impact on pediatric cancer research and improve the day-to-day lives of the kids battling the horrors of childhood cancer.Do you have a creative way to raise money to help children battling cancer? Fundraisers, like this one, are a fun, simple way to help Hugs for Brady in our mission to end pediatric cancer for good. From buying custom-built Brady Buggy wagons, computers, TVs and video games, to the funding of the New Jersey’s first pediatric hematology/oncology young investigator program; every dollar donated is spent in the pursuit to make the lives of children with cancer better. Please consider donating today.
