Please help us in welcoming two trustees to our board.
Heather will be taking over for Kevin Lovell who will be stepping down. Heather has been involved in various charitable organizations over the last 20 years. During this time, Heather has managed and helped raise thousands of dollars for many central NJ hospitals. Heather was also involved in a research project for the food bank of NJ. By spending a year meeting with different food bank leaders and clients, Heather and her team were able to show greater need to the underprivileged in the state which helped to raise state grant money significantly.
Heather has volunteered on various Rotary projects over the years, hosting different Rotarians in her home from several different countries. Heather and her husband have owned a thriving manufacturing facility in Hillsborough, NJ for close to 20 years.
Heather is active in her community; she is involved in teaching yoga as well as playing tennis and golf.
Donna is a mother of two, 14-year-old Kaela and 13-year-old Anton. She is married to Matthew Cruz and has been a registered nurse for 20 years.
Her daughter Kaela was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2007. Kaela underwent chemotherapy and an above the knee amputation. Kaela and her family were in and out of the hospital for 13 months.
During that time, Donna experienced the lack of family support and the huge impact that the lack of funding for childhood cancer research has towards the treatment and overall well-being of not only the child who is sick but also for the whole family.
Because of this experience, Donna wants to share her time, effort, and dedication to spreading awareness, raising funds for research, and helping families find comfort while battling this horrible disease.
By joining the Hugs for Brady board of Trustees, Donna and Heather are giving their time and dedication to our cause, and we are grateful for their commitment to our foundation.
